A small plugin that wipes off unnecessary words from your site.

compat 25compat 30
compat 15 native

Initial release: 1.0 (11 November 2010)
Current version:
1.1 (02 December 2015)

  • Allows to remove unwanted words from your site
  • Can process either articles only or the whole site
  • An option to load list from file

Flexible Joomla! plugin that prevents certain words from appearing on your site. It allows to process not only Articles, but the whole site HTML if necessary. Supports obtaining the list from file, allows to specify exclusions, and has small offensive language dictionary built-in.

As well it allows to turn on/off case-sensitive replacement, whole words replacement mode and to specify replacement mask.

sitecensor_defaultlist.txt, located at /plugins/system/ contains small list of offensive words. You may use it as a start point.

This extension was developed in 2010 for Joomla! 1.5. I decided to revive it and adopt for Joomla! 3.4. That's why it may lack some features. However, new features may be added in the future.

This plugin does not have any tags. It processes your site output.

Go to plugin settings after you install it.

Before you enable the plugin, please read carefully all the instructions located on its settings page.
