If you run nginx on Windows (for development purproses, for instance), you may often experience 'An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host' errors.
To get rid of them, add the following lines to your nginx.conf:
keepalive_timeout 65; keepalive_requests 500; proxy_http_version 1.1;
In many cases Matlab produces different warnings. Some of them are useful, some are REALLY not. Such warning as "Warning: Image is too big to fit on screen; displaying at 50%" is really annoying and disrupts output in command window.
The Web is full of suggestions like providing initial magnification:
but that's not a cure, it only masks symptoms. To turn it (or any other warning) REALLY off just click on the uppermost link in inner matlab files that produced that warning, find warning ID like 'images:initSize:adjustingMag' and copy it into clipboard. Then add the following line to your script:
This will really suppress this Matlab warning and you will not see it any more.

If you upgrade to windows 8.1 64-bit, you may find that you cannot install argyll drivers for your colorimeter in a usual way.

Many years ago I discovered a site with tons of high-qualty Joomla templates. Yes, it's ThemeForest - one of my favourite marketplaces. I often use it to get adequately-priced and high-quality items.
Recently I was doing some coding in C#, which featured launching processes as another user. I've set all the necessary parameters in ProcessStartInfo object that I passed as an argument to Process.Start(... method. However, it was constantly causing an error - 'The directory name is invalid'.
We all know that it's diffucult to make backup of Windows registry. This is because OS prevents direct access to the files, even for reading, so we have to use an alternate tools. But when you are running a Recovery console (as well as any other OS) you can access those files, copy and replace them.
